Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Agroecology Lab
The Université Libre de Bruxelles has 12 faculties that cover all the disciplines, closely combining academic input and research. It offers almost 40 undergraduate and 250 graduate programs (among them 23 master programs fully taught in English) and 6 Erasmus Mundus. It also partners 20 Doctoral schools, with almost 1,600 PhD in progress.
One of the University's main aims is to give its students a solid foundation in critical thinking as well as a taste for research, while at the same time catering to the needs of new publics.
The Agroecology lab is one of five laboratories of the Brussels Bioengineering School (BBS) at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB). This lab hosts a growing team of researchers interested in trans-disciplinary studies, bridging the gaps between ecological, agricultural and social sciences. In particular, the lab of Cécile Thonar is interested in investigating various options of rhizosphere management to improve nutrient use efficiency of agroecosystems.
